Smart business owners and managers review their expenses in order to find savings wherever possible. Your fire protection services are no exception. It is our core belief that these life safety services should be provided in a highly professional manner without breaking the bank! We believe that our customers deserve the best. At Fire Safety Specialists, it is our goal to keep our prices as low as possible.
We regularly save our customers as much as 60%, occasionally even more, over their previous fire safety service provider. We do this by not placing “B.S.” charges on your invoice!
You know what some B.S. charges are when you see them. Others you may not be aware of. "B.S." charges you won’t see on a Fire Safety Specialists Invoice that are on our competitor's invoices:
We WILL NOT sacrifice quality to save you money.
We will only use manufacturer’s approved parts, never aftermarket parts. This is critical when servicing a Commercial Kitchen Fire Suppression System or a Paint Booth Fire Suppression System.
Aftermarket parts for systems are available and much cheaper than factory parts. However, these parts are not as rigorously tested, if used will void the UL listing of the suppression system, and even most importantly, if they fail (and even if they don't), an insurance company will not pay out. Insurance companies will pay a lot of money to a lawyer to get out of paying a claim. Don't let your service company put you in that position! Know what you are paying for!
In order to understand pricing from company to company, it is important to understand what the items on your bill are. To help you compare your current provider to Fire Safety Specialists, here is an explanation of each service in our quote or on your bill so you can compare item to item more clearly.
1. System Inspection – This is the fee for performing the labor part of your system inspection.
2. Microswitch Check - Extra charge for verifying that the microswitch works. This takes no more than 30 seconds to perform. Fire Safety Specialists NEVER, EVER charges a microswitch check fee. Some companies charge between $10 and $25 to perform this test.

7. Fire Extinguisher Annual Maintenance – This is the fee, per extinguisher, to perform annual testing of your fire extinguishers. It should include a tamper seal, tag, & monthly inspection tag at no additional charge.
8. Monthly Tag – Some companies charge extra for monthly inspection tags, purposely printing their tags without this information just to charge more on the bill. Monthly tags are required by law and they are located on the back of all Fire Safety Specialists tags for FREE.
